I’m good at making excuses. My favorite one is, “I can’t afford it!”
I told myself I couldn’t afford a personal trainer until I realized my strength would continue to wane without one. I put off counseling until a serious crack in my marriage sent me running to the best one I could find. I considered tuition too expensive until God made me uncomfortable in my position and gave me vision for changing gears in “retirement”.
EXCUSES ARE SELF-CREATED HANDICAPS.
WE USE THEM TO PROTECT OURSELVES FROM TAKING THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGE.
LIVING WITH THEM IS LIKE CHOOSING TO WEAR HANDCUFFS.
Are any of these excuses tying your hands?
It won’t work That’s just the way I am
It’s too expensive It’s too hard
I don’t have the energy I don’t have time
I hate change I’m too old, young, shy, tired
If you’re ready to break free and CAN the excuses, coaching can help!
